Technical details
SERVICE AREA. Any shop file: action=list (folder), read (path, from_line), edit (search/replace or content; also a new file, for example your own module or an override), delete (with a backup, restorable). Paths are relative to the shop folder. Protected and never accessible: files with database passwords and keys (app/config/parameters.php, .env...), config/settings.inc.php, var/logs, upload, download, payment modules and the connector's own folders. PHP files are syntax-checked before saving and every write is backed up. Prefer the Theme and Modules tools for theme and module files, they have extra checks. Restore: ps_restore_file_backup.

Limits
list and read work without a switch; edit and delete need the Service switch, which the owner turns on for 3 hours. read: 400 lines per call, files up to 1 MB. delete: single files up to 5 MB. edit: text files only. File writes count toward the file write limit (default 20 per hour), shared by all file tools (adjustable in the Settings: security, alerts, limits card).
What you see before anything is saved
Claude first calls the tool without confirming it. The module returns a preview (current and new values) and a single-use token valid for 30 minutes. Claude shows you the preview and saves the change only after your yes.
