Tools reference
Every MCP tool TellMyShop gives Claude in your PrestaShop store: what it does, whether it reads or writes, and which switch a change needs.
Read tools never change your store. Write tools first return a preview and a single-use token valid for 30 minutes; Claude saves only after you approve. With TellMyShop Pro, changes to content, SEO and the catalog can be saved right away; Commerce, Theme, Modules and Service need a switch you turn on in the module panel, and Theme, Modules and Service switch themselves off after 24, 24 and 3 hours. TellMyShop Free has only the ready reports marked below, which only read. Access to your customers' personal data is off by default: only you can switch it on in the module, and customer service then saves draft replies as private notes and sends nothing. 71 tools in module 2.7.2, 24 of them in TellMyShop Free.

Content & SEO and Catalog · writes right away
No switch: with Pro and an active licence the changes in these areas can be saved right away, always after a preview and your approval. Also here: shop diagnostics, sales statistics, change history and customer service. Customer service works only when customer data access (Customer data card) is set to pseudonymised or full. Blog tools appear only when a supported blog module (SmartBlog) is installed and enabled. TellMyShop Free has the ready reports of this block, which only read.

Commerce · switch, until turned off
Prices, product promotions, category and brand promotions, discount codes, stock, combinations, shipping, related products. Claude can read all of it at any time; saving a change needs the Commerce switch in the Writing in areas card, which stays on until you turn it off. Off after install. Pro only.

Theme · switch, 24 h
Theme files, cache, child theme, module template overrides, module positions on the page. Reading works at any time; saving needs the Theme switch, which you turn on for 24 hours and which then switches itself off. Turning it on needs today's database backup, which the module makes itself. Off after install. Pro only. File backups (ps_list_file_backups, ps_restore_file_backup) are listed here; restoring a file needs the switch of the area the file belongs to (Theme, Modules or Service).

Service · switch, 3 h
Any shop file, database reads and changes, PrestaShop settings: full technical access, like FTP and database access. Reading works at any time; saving needs the Service switch, turned on for 3 hours, then it switches itself off. Turning it on needs today's database backup. Off after install. Pro only. Files with passwords and keys, payment modules and the connector's own files stay blocked. Running arbitrary PHP code is not available; PHP files can be written with a syntax check and backup.

Roadmap
Planned, not in the module yet. These are not tools and have no pages.
- OAuth sign-in for the connector
Replace the static token in the connector URL with OAuth. A token in a URL can end up in server and proxy logs. Claude and ChatGPT both connect with the token today (ChatGPT through a custom connector in developer mode). Not in 2.7.x; planned after launch, or earlier if a chat app requires it.
- Module update notification
Tell the shop owner in the module panel when a new TellMyShop version is available. Not in 2.7.x; today a new version is shown on the TellMyShop account.
