Install the module
You install it like any other PrestaShop module. It takes a few minutes.
Step by step
- Download the module. Sign in to your TellMyShop account with the link from your e-mail, open Downloads and get TellMyShop Pro or TellMyShop Free. Don't unzip the file.
- Upload it to your shop. In your PrestaShop admin go to Modules > Module Manager and click Upload a module. Drag the ZIP into the window. After a moment you'll see "Module installed" and TellMyShop appears in your module list.
- Open the settings. Click Configure next to TellMyShop.
- Paste your key. Copy the key from your email or your account and paste it into the Licence card. Your shop's domain is assigned automatically. Test copies don't use up your licence. With TellMyShop Free you skip this step.
Done. In the Start card you'll see the Set up in 3 steps list. You'll go through it in the next step.
What's set up for you
The module starts in a safe state. You don't need to change anything:
- In the Pro version Claude reads your whole shop. It sees products, categories, pages, settings, modules and logs straight away. It doesn't see the things that are always blocked (below) or your customers' data. TellMyShop Free reads your shop for reviews and reports.
- With a licence, Claude saves content, SEO and catalogue changes straight away. It shows every change in a preview first and saves it only after your "yes" in the chat. In TellMyShop Free, Claude only reads.
- Prices, the theme, modules and technical work are off. You turn on saving in these areas separately in the Writing in areas card: Sales stays on until you turn it off, Theme and Modules for 24 hours, Service for 3 hours. After that the switch turns itself off. The switches only cover saving: Claude can read without them.
- Some things are always blocked, whatever the switches say: passwords, employee accounts and permissions, API keys, payment data, the database credentials file (parameters.php), payment modules, and the TellMyShop module itself and its backups. Claude also doesn't change taxes, payment methods or order statuses. It can only add a note to an order.
- The connector turns itself on when you create the address in the next step. The module also makes the first backup of your shop's database then.
- Claude has no access to your customers' data. You can change this in the Customer data (GDPR) card: masked data, or full data only for a limited time with a stated reason.
- You get an email whenever these settings change, and a short daily summary of what Claude did in your shop.
The module screen has these cards: Licence, Start (with the collapsed Ready-made jobs section below it), Writing in areas (with the database backups), Customer data (GDPR), Settings: security, alerts, limits, Change history and undo, Connection log (last 50), Emergency restore (if the shop stops working) and File backups. Some cards, like Licence and File backups, are only in the Pro version. The module header has a Guide link.
TellMyShop Free
TellMyShop Free is a separate, free ZIP file and installs the same way, without a key. With it Claude can only read your shop and prepare reports. When you buy a licence, you upload the Pro package over the Free version and paste your key. Your settings and history stay.
